Target

The aim of the conservation work was to slow down the destruction processes and stabilize the state of preservation of the unique medieval monument, which continues to be a key point of attraction for tourists and pilgrims.

The conservation work was preceded by a thorough study and documentation of the monument. 3D scanning, photo and video recording, geodetic survey, geomagnetic scanning, as well as the laying of archaeological pits are only part of the wide range of advanced methods and approaches that were applied to the monument.

The collected data, processed and systematized, formed the basis of the working conservation project.
Particular attention was paid to the interpretation and most complete presentation of the monument, raising awareness of the general public, as well as improving the potential of local personnel working in the field of protection and promotion of historical and cultural heritage.
